If you are having meetings about being lazy and you know they gonna give you the sack later can you quickly hand in your notice??

Until they sack you you could quit at any time.
You wont be able to sign on either way though, so bare that in mind lol

You cant sign on if you walk out of a job (resign) and you cant sign on if you get the sack.
You can sign on as such, but they withhold payments for x amount of time, or give a lower one

 

you can only sign on the dole if you are sacked, made redundant, etc. You cannot sign on for a few months if you voluntarily quit your job.

I would have deletd Internet Explorer if I got a written warning for browsing PF at work

 

No I had none as such but emails saying all this shit warning me so dunno if that counts

Unless your company classes using the internet as gross misconduct they cant sack you unless you have had the correct amount of verbal and written warnings first

 

It has to be a formal written warning. An email does not constitute this as a written warning must be signed by both parties. Also you could just claim you didnt receive any emails unless you replied to them.

 

Basically they can't give you the sack, you are more likely to be getting a written warning!

The HR person said she could terminate my contract?? Not sure if she meant after 4 weeks of being watched though Got a meeting later so she won't have much to talk about if I handing my notice in.

 

My old company Pendragon had it as gross misconduct, a great big fat lezza was on all the lesbo sites lookin at filth and got instant dismissal!

Just handed my notice in!! i sort of happy I think the job was shit any way so now I can look for something with better pay, more time on passionford and more fun.

I been there for bout 7 months so they would of had to give me a warning but I am not prepaired to stop going on the internet

I have done this before and when filling the forms out i wrote down contract ended or along them lines.

They never check as far as im aware, well they dont here

 

Nice one- I got till thursday this week They gonna still pay me aprils pay untaxed I said I was unhappy so said I was ok to leave this week and still get paid for my months notice

 

Personally, I would put a job over a forum anyday.

Maybe need to look at a few priorities mate.

Sounds like you just havn't found a decent job yet, I nearly lost my job 2 years ago due to internet / email abuse, proper cacked myself, was very lucky and got away with a written warning (2 other people got sacked due to the content of their emails).

If you find a job you want to stick with just check the company policy on internet & email use, my Company allow up to 6 personal emails per day and 1 hour personal internet useage during working hours..... it is damn hard to stick to it but not worth loosing my job over.
