I know its not a ford, but i just wanted your thoughts, i went to have a look at a 10 plate astra sri today with under 45k on the clock, i noticed that all 4 tyre will soon need changing again as it had two makes of budget tyres all round, im a bit concerned that its had the ass ragged out of it, because when new it would of had premium tyres fitted, then by 45k it needs 4 more tyres, main dealer wants £6,595 just dont want to buy something thats been thrashed most of its life, driven by some TWAT

Just move on to the next one then, not like there is a shortage of them on the market. I would expect a set of tyres that have been driven carefully to last 20k so I don't think that is unreasonable anyway?

How many miles would you expect from a set of tyres just out of interest?

A budget set may well get mashed quicker anyway. Can't say it seems bad to me. I've worked on lots of fleet cars and vans and some 'drivers' will kill front tyres by their first service.

both Astra j and the insignia are very heavy on tyres and can kill a set in 10k even on a well driven car.

like most main dealers over charge for what they have, and offer you fook all for your, looked at a 2008 focus 1.6 tit with 42k ford dealer wanted £6,595, thought that was expensive, wanted of offer fook all for my 2006 focus p/x

most private sellers over value the shite they are selling, lie or deny faults exist that are obvious when you view

ive come to the conclusion now that whatever you plan to buy 80% of sellers are dealing, im talking vehicles, furnature, garden plants, push bikes, clothes, electrical, perfumes

at least if you buy from a main dealer you have some come back
