that's what I presumed if it's set up properly I shouldn't have a problem, engine will be set up by Harvey Gibbs, so should be spot on I guess lol

depends on how tuned it is imo
my car is only 450bhp and my emissions are 6.5 /7.5, (goes up and down)
but i guess its not set up correctly
i hate mot time,
you guys over there are lucky yous can go to private garages
can you really get emissions low enough on say a 550-600bhp cossie running big injectors/cams etc etc??

Yeah will be running around 450, here it's a nightmare in Spain as the mot stations are government run so no independent garages can do them! So worried as to weather it would or wouldn't pass

Any YB can go through an emissions test without problems if mapped properly. Sometimes they have to be done live due to cam timing and random inlet depressions because of head port sizes but can always be brought down to legal levels. Later cars however will need the closed loop and catalyst fitted to be fully legal of course.

Given pre 2002 our test still doesnt include cat related test or emissions...

In that respect, our test is a piece of piss. If the car cant pass the basic emissions, something is badly wrong.

It's the only one area of our MOT that is more lax than the rest of the UK....if we ignore the private testers overlooking things.

Spoke to the Itv test center (mot in Spain) and he says it needs to be below 3.5 or will fail!

my 720 hp rb26 with 1000cc injectors only ran 3.1% at idle and it didnt have closed loop working just live mapped and a ported head with bigish cams.
