Default ratchet on clutch pedal has gone on erst

went to go out yesterday and managed to get about 100yards down my road and went to change gear and the pedal just went down and stayed down had to put it in reverse then start it up and reverse back to where i park my car.took the pedal off and the bushees in the pedal had broken up so the pedal was sitting at a little bit of an angle, changed the bushes and put it all back together today then went out for a drive and it happened again had to limp it home in 5th at 20mph,im going to be rushed off my feet thursday evening when i finish work, got to do a service on the erst and also do the valve stem oil seals and now the clutch pedal,im going away friday after ive finished work so its all got to be done thursday,i think im going to be out there with a lead light

Time to take out the drivers seat & stick your head & hands under the dash for hours on end only to have a bad back & neck the next day
ORRRRR you can do what i done & just change the whole pedal box - it's much easier

Just fit a pedal out of a Mk5 escort, the pedal is adjustable so you dont need the ratchet.
