I agree with Stevie ethonal is very corrosive and if left can melt rubbers filters etc even maybe de-rust certain things like in tank ,maybe could be just fuel filter restrictions,but I would deffo get injectors flow tested

It's probably gummed up the injectors, especially as you've already said the filters etc were like that.
best to get them checked to be sure.

It hasn't had ethanol in it for a while now just v power all the time, but it did do the thing it's doing now about 3 times randomly a good while ago.
It's now seeing what the syvecs calls cylinder 5 pre ignition at 100 mph at wot from standstill, it was also overfuelling massively at cruise but that is all back to normal now since filters were done.
On paperwork it says injector dynamics 1300s, I was told they are ethanol friendly injectors when I bought the car, it starts and runs perfect I can't see it being anything else other than injectors, I'm just gonna run it at 850 hp once it's sorted sod the ethanol lol

Mgt are gonna flow test all injectors and then run on the Dyno and datalog, fingers crossed that's all it is, engine runs and sound perfect so fingers crossed it's an easy fix

Well everything was fine on the Dyno, it has now been run up the road and limp mode again !
Back to square one, I'm totally baffled what can be causing it tbh

And is it same trip ?
Same cylinder etc ? If it has been checked on the dyno ( and maybe road ) and they are sure there are no unwanted problems...it could just be some thresholds need checked and adjusted for knock detection.

The r35 is on another level, there is no comparison performance wise, my r33 was about 700 hp great fun but not in the same league

Good news today heard from my tuner car is now road testing well, just a couple of small electrical jobs to do and she should be coming home, now I've got the RS6 I might have to get some more ethanol

The gtr is now all done, all issues sorted and made over 800 hub power at all 4 hubs on 1.5 bar v power alone, I think my old method was 15 hp loss per hub so a solid 860 hp on pump fuel, just gotta find the time to go pick it up now
Ps I cannot recommend mgt racing enough they've always been very good to me no matter what the issue they sort it

Just got back from picking the car up, actual figure was 815 at all 4 hubs, faultless drive home no misfires and all lights on dash out now
It hasn't got as much kick in the back mid range as the RS6, but the top end revs are relentless.

thought id better test the car up my track today to make sure performance wise everything is still the same.
vpower 1.5 bar boost, no launch, 0-60 3.4 seconds, 0-100 6 seconds.
had some wheel spin in first which must of cost me the 2 tenths as last test was 3.2, but the 60-100 mph time of 2.6 what it did today is identical to last time I tested on petrol only.

Like for like test I've done both on v power no launch, gtr 1.5 bar boost
0-100 mph 6 seconds
RS6 1.65 bar boost
0-100 mph 7.6 seconds
The gtr revs like a motorbike, RS6 more driveable with more low end grunt but losses it's legs high revs
As an everyday car the RS6 wins hands down, but in a race the gtr will destroy it

In all honesty I don't James, the gtr has had this issue for must be 12 months and only just got it sorted
When dad got ill all my hobbies went out the window and work just took over
Plus the fact now with 3 kids we couldn't all get in it, so have been using the missus Q7 til a few weeks ago when I bought myself the RS6
That's the total line up and I have dad's range rover sport which I don't use much but I can't part with it being as it was dad's last car before he past away
With dad's range rover aswell there's a total of 2500 hp sat on the drive lol
