Recently got another fiesta for pennies, rotten body and all but as a project car and having seen a 1600 engine at the breakers with only 62k, seems like a decent deal for 150. Does anyone know what I'd need for this to run? The fiesta as it is, is a 1300. I understand I need the engine, loom, ecu but would I be able to keep my 1300 driveshafts and gearbox and would I need engine mounts etc? Also another question, is the focus 1600 exactly the same as the fiesta, do they go straight in or not? I've seen one with 48k but unsure on this. I've looked at Puma engines but there seems to be more options for upgrades on the 1600 so that's what I'm after. I plan to use it for track days but should I MOT it, would it get through if the DVLA papers hadn't come through in time to say it was converted and would they care? Cheers
