So was I right then. Take the pads out and have a good look at them. Ive heard of people grinding the edges of the metal part of the pads down to get them to fit in calipers. You could try some copper slip grease too.

if they rattle up and down in the carrier then your gonna need to replae them as I can't think of anyway your gonna stop them rattling on a fiesta.

When I worked for a suzuki main dealer I looked at a honda one day for rattling pads and the foreman told me to use an piece of brake shim off another car to wedge in between the brake pad and the brake caliper carrier. Fpmsl at working there, the lads were thick as shit.

I might be on the wrong track here but a lot of cars have shims which have to be fitted with the pads to stop them rattling along with copper slip grease as mentioned by others.

OEM or good quality pads are always a sensible idea. OEM kits will also usually come with any clips or shims required, and often there may be specific anti-rattle shims too.
Someone has maybe just left these out.
Or as said, they've maybe used poorly fitting pads or ground them with a grinder due not fitting, corroded caliper etc.
