Default fuel line been cut, some help on a repair.

Hi guys, my missus car 03 corsa had her hard plastic fuel line cut twice over night and I'm fuckin livid.

Was only a little petrol left before the incident, and they have cut the plastic fuel line with a sharp knife twice either side of the fuel filter.

The cuts are clean and angled at 45 degrees (not straight) and would hold together if it wasn't a fuel line.

The question I'm asking is could you sleeve another larger fuel pipe over the cut one and clamp it either end or would I be better to change the whole pipes (fuel filter to engine and tank to filter)

Or maybe cut the pipe straight and use a union connector.

Any advice would be brilliant. I'll put a picture up soon, cheers. Smit

you could try slipping rubber pipe over the cuts, make sure you slide a good way up,
also double jubilee them both, at least an inch, so add some ky or washing up liquid, , remove a section of each piece of the cut pipe, so if this fix is insufficient for long term, you may be able to find nutted pipe joiners, using the bits you removed as a reference
failing that, get to scrappy in the week, replace the bits some B*****d sliced

the good news is that they are simply push on connectors so you won't need to bugger about with special fittings

the bad news may be that there isn't enough spare pipe left over to make it a safe repair using some rubber fuel hose over the top with jubilee clips due to the bend being so close in the blue pipe

but deffo use at least 2 sets of clips on either side of the repair and make sure the pipe you are using is suitable for fuel too

I have festo connections that will solve that problem mate. Cover postage and you can have a pair.

Simple to fit as they just slide on. If like said there is not enough pipe left then we can make that section up too.

It's not a for sale add or trading before any one starts as it's free.

Get a speed fit of the same out side diameter cut the pipe square and fit the speed fit.
We deal with plastic pipe like that all the time at work so if its now too short you can cut the pipe off the filter fitting and replace that part with new pipe but you would need the tool to fit the fitting into the new section of pipe

My mother had this done a few years back but the little scumbags also set light to it at the same time which then totalled the two other cars parked either side of it, also noticed when I had a look over it that they also cut the brake line next to it so if they hadn't got the fuel and she had managed to drive it the next day she probably would of crashed it.
