Default Transit connect Help

Been asked to look out for a transit connect for my nephew, budget is not massive between £1500 and £2000, I could do with some tips on which one is better one as I have seen TDCI and TDDI, all done the miles though, what should I be looking for in the way of problems ?
Thanks in advance.

Check the sills they can rust. Also check the coolent level sometimes the thermostat housing leaks (easy fix). The connects are a really good van. I work on them most days so I know a bit about them.

the hoses we had loads of issues with them little hooks they had in the hose clips which didn't come with the newer canvas hoses that replaced ALL the split rubber ones

and changing headlights, we gave up because there wasn't enough space to get your hands in there

Both the tdci and the tddi have both been good in the fleet at work.

The tdci is the quicker van.

Injectors can be an issue, put it under load in top gear and see if it cuts out and glow plug light flashes. These injectors need coding from 2003 - 2006 and aren't cheap
