Default Bad misfire

We have a 60 plate Tranny Connect, can't remember mileage but it's around 50k IIRC. Just checked and it's knocking on for 55k.
I noticed a good 6 months back ever such a slight miss, but nothing major, over the past few months it's got worse, I took it out yesterday for the first time in a while.. It's a nightmare to drive, from a reasonably cold start it's missing right up the revs and into 3rd, seems to drop off in 4th.

Took it to TCH just around the corner and they couldn't find anything? Dad bunged some injector cleaner through it but to no avail.
So any ideas?

He also wants it remapped Do we know of any reputable companies? He's more concerned with the extra economy, but a bit of extra poke would be nice.
It's the 110ps(BHP?) version by the way.

Fuel filter. Make sure you fill it up with diesel before trying to start the engine.

Usually a blocked fuel filter just makes the engine bog down as the revs increase.
You sure it's not an EGR issue?

We had the fuel filter changed not that long ago.
Could be EGR, would it not show on a diagnostic?
