GARETH T, I have an AMD 2200, 512mb RAM and a GeForce 4, hardly top spec but it plays prefectly ok in 1600x1200 resolution. I spent an hour or so tuning up my pc, now I get into games before my mates on p4 3ghz with 1 gig RAM etc
I disabled a load of windows services I don't need, saved over 50meg of RAM

phil, CS:S plays fine on that spec? 
mine was acceptable with a 2400+ 512, FX5200 @ 1280x1024 in low detail modes
now its perfect with 3200+, 1024mb, 9800Pro @ 1280x1024 in high detail (no AA)

GARETH T, I am at my parents for easter so can't until I am back in London 
Jim Galbally, It runs around 30-40fps on medium graphics no AA, but the graphics are better now than they were on high detail at 1024 My Geforce 4 is a decent one though (XFX) with the RAM at nearly double the std speed etc
