Long list as to why fella..

if the gaskets "blown" sounds like possible det has accurred.

If its "leeked" could be uneven face surfaces of head/block or uneven clamping force's, poor gasket quality/size wrong...

Get some pics up, which involves creating a photo bucket account, upload pics to it then once done copy the image code from there and paste into thread here

Ok il upload pics, the block was decked but the head wasn't skimmed, I sent it away to get ported and was told it was fine, when I change head gasket how will I set it up safe to try again, just retard timing? What about fueling? Make it rich?

TBH just leave it alone, stay OUTTA the boost and get it to a Tuner

If MFI its is fairly straight forward to "set up" , EFI is a cnut hahaha as its all pretty much plug up, plus its old software thats like fort knox to most..

so genuinely id get it on the rollers.. iirc you have SITECH in Scotchland so that'd be my port of call

Have a pic up now, ye sitech was where it was going when this happened haha. Does the pic look like det up you? I have sent the head in to get pressure tested and skimmed, I hope they tell me it was warped to put my mind at rest. I have a wide and air/ fuel ratio gauge so I am going to set it up safe myself. So to avoid det what do I need to do? Retard timing and run in rich??

get the head checked for flatness first, and make sure the block isn't low where its failed can be checked with a straight edge and torch ive done it a few times in the dark. can you get a mls headgasket they are a lot tougher than them shitty things you got there as long as your head and block are perfect.

yes mate its blown cyl 3 fire ring into the water way according to that pic.

id say its a clamping issue as the gasket has just slipped and deformed out as if its not been clamped down tight enough in that area.

No damage to bottom end by looks and feel of things thankfully. It didn't stop with a jolt, it was like someone turned the key off. As soon as I came onto boost it shut of, I pushed car back into shed and took the plugs out, u turned it over and it was like a water jet firing out, then water started pouring out of it, would this suggest cracked head and the water pushed the gasket out? I have put head in to get pressure tested and skimmed

That's what I though scooby but how would water piss out externally? Would it come through spark plug threads? They didn't seem tight when I removed it, mayby that has saved my bottom end : )

Silly question as I don't know you mechanical skill, but
1. I take it you used correct settings on the bolts
2. Made sure the bolts holes were clean and free from oil/water/grit
3. Check the torque on each bolt at least twice before doing any other stages

As all these could cause the head to clamp down unevenly or not enough

No offence intended

Did you replace the bolts when you built it back up
