Default Car colour code wrong ?

Hi All
i have recently purchased a ford fiesta van 56 plate
i need to touch up some paintwork and according to some websites my colour code is ivory blue, although the car is very much white! all the v5 says is white. im not bothered if it has been resprayed at some stage although it doesnt look like it has as i have had the carpets out which are white underneath.
anyone have any idea if this colour code is correct?
Many thanks

cant confirm but colour names sometimes bear little resemblence to the actual colour.. If the car's basically white and the V5 says white then I would not worry about that..

in my experience main dealers take everything off the chassis number anyway that way they know exactly what paint was applied to the car when it was built. If you do a free / cheap HPI check it should show a colour change if it was registered with the DVLA.

My Yamaha is white yet is has blue in the offical colour name.. try googling the colour code and see what comes up..

HTH..

Hi
Thanks for info
Done a google search and H7 is coming up as blue or different versions of blue.
Did a HPI check and it doesnt show as having a respray.
Weird!!

The code is most likely just 'h' or '7' mate, its not always both digits. However if you search just one letter/number it will bring up loads of possibilites. I can search on my scheme for you tomorrow if that helps? Btw it will almost definatley be frozen white as its the only one the did in that era on vans

Ford colour codes are always a pain. If your unsure ring a ford dealer and give them the reg. they should be able to confirm
