I dont recall fords sucking in the plastic innards of the airboxes and lunching the engine/turbo either

E46 M3 recall on weak rear subframe

Nikasil liners

need I go on

BMW are no more reliable than any other make, its just most owners are to proud/embarrassed to admit it usually

After managing a few fleets of company cars in my time I can tell you id rather a fleet of mondeos than any BMW we had

The thing with BMW the money they cost to make they should be very very reliable. Ive heard loads of stories about them when one of my mates wife used to work on the reception of a BMW dealership

Build quality of BMW is far superior to Ford, but in regards recalls, I don't really see that as entirely relevant, name a marque that doesn't have any issues? I'd rather blindly buy a 10 year old BM than a Ford any day of the week.

That would be one huge gamble.

And potentially one huge repair bill.

In that case I suggest we commend BMW marketing for managing to have the marque widely regarded as high end quality, when in fact it's all a lie and they're all shit

The interior build quality and spec ain't that great for the price. And i always find the drive of them harsh and choppy and bit dull graet if all ya do is munch up dead flat boring motorway miles

My sister and there boy friend have a 09 1 series bmw. Its got this cheap silver plastic trim going across the dash on the passenger side. It looks cheap and tacky as fook.

The wife and I have friends over the road who have a Audi A6. It got damaged so they got a 3 series bmw estate. His words were"the dash is horrid. My old mk1.5 focus had a better dash. The bmw dash looks so cheap"

Me personly have nothing against bm.s I like them.
