Does anyone know what controls the interior light on a 2wd sapphire? Got a problem on a mates car where the interior light doesn't go off. Checked all the door pin switches, they're ok. assumming its a timer relay somewhere, but which one and where is it??

IIRC, it's either the big red or yellow one in the middle area of the fuse box - pull them out one at a time, and when the light goes off, you've got the right one.

Didnt know they had a dedicated relay, always thought they were fused live and just earthed through the door pins ? Does the one on the boot operate it too ?? Does it switch off if you move the switch to the centre position - or do they not even have switches lol ...... never been lucky enough to afford a sapph

yeah, its set to 'off' in the middle position at the moment to prevent the flat battery in the morning.
They stay on for so long after the doors been shut, but on this they dont go off at all, unless in the middle position. boot lamp goes out, its just the front and rear interior lamps. Theres gotta be a timer relay somewhere.
