I think the seller needs to use an enter button and also I'm sure M sport do register their rally cars, or they wouldn't have a UK reg number...

The car was built and owned by Malcolm Wilson - M Sport. As far as I know it set out to be used by themselves for rally and then never was. It then became a promotions car and simulator, for there promotional week ends. A local garage managed to buy it off them (rolling shell only), where they put a new 2ltr ford black top engine and standard 5 speed box in.There isn't a gear stick as such on the car, but I am using a socket piece that I have just put over the stump and this works fine for getting it about at the mo, but will obviously need properly sorted in the future. It has all new standard running gear in it and also brakes and suspension. An expensive custom made full stainless steel exhaust was also built and put on. Inside the car is a full welded roll cage complete with spare wheel holder with straps (spare steel reinforced dirt wheel incl). New Monaco pro bucket seats with sabelt multipoint harness, x2. Carbon fibre door cards, carbon fibre footwell floor and foot rests and carbon fibre centre console switch board (all needs wiring up) lights, indicators, wipers etc, all work off the standard system as he wanted to put it through an MOT so it could be taken out onto the road. The next thing he had to do was get it an ID as it didn't have one when he bought it because M-Sport don't register there rally cars with a V5 when they build them. He done this by buying a clapt out old focus for 300 quid, and transferred the identification onto the rally car, all above board through the DVLA. It was at this stage that I got the chance to buy it with the intentions of dropping a 4x4 cozzie engine and running gear in it as it is all tunnelled out ready for it, then up rating the suspension and brakes, then sorting out all the electrics out inside. That was nearly 5 year ago now and I haven't touched it at all with starting a family. It's been dry stored in a lock up and taken for a run round the block the odd sunny day. To be honest, I don't think it has ever seen rain. The only water it has seen for the time I have had it is when I have washed it. It is almost rust free, maybe a few specks of surface rust in the spare wheel well where water has ran while pressure washing it. Underneath looks almost brand new. I highly recommend a viewing. Anyway, with a growing family and the loss of my storage, it has to go and is the reason it is for a reluctant sale. It is sitting on brand new road tyres at the mo, but included in the sale is a set of quality racing slicks. If you have the time and the money, this could make a brilliant project, or can just be used as it is. I know the wings are genuine lightweight steel, not fibreglass crap, and are worth over 600 quid a piece, so there is a lot of expense already in it for a head start to a project. . ANY QUESTIONS, EMAIL ME AT - JSMLECKR@HOTMAIL.COM OR TEL - 07543651434. . CONTACT ME IF YOU REQUIRE ANYMORE SPECIFIC PICS OF THE CAR. . THIS VEHICLE IS ADVERTISED ELSE WHERE SO I CAN STOP THE AUCTION AT ANY TIME. . THIS IS A RALLY CAR, AN UNFINISHED PROJECT, SO DONT EXPECT EVERYTHING TO WORK AS IT SHOULD IN A NORMAL CAR. . VIEWING IS HIGHLY RECOMMEND BEFORE BIDDING OR PURCHASING THIS CAR. . THE CAR HAS NO TAX OR MOT AND IS SORN OFF THE ROAD SO WILL NEED A TRAILER ON COLLECTION, OR DRIVE AWAY AT YOUR OWN RISK. . THERE IS A V5 REGISTRATION DOCUMENT FOR THE CAR. . ABSOLUTELY NO TIME WASTERS OR DREAMERS PLEASE. THEY WILL BE 100% REPORTED. . ANY BIDDERS WITH LESS THAN 5 POSITIVE FEEDBACK, PLEASE CONTACT ME FIRST. . I WILL ACCEPT PAYPAL FOR PAYMENT BUT I WOULD PREFER CASH OR BANK TRANSFER ON COLLECTION OF THE CAR. I ALSO EXPECT A DEPOSIT OF AT LEAST £150.00 WITHIN THE FIRST HOUR AFTER THE END OF THE AUCTION. . I CAN DELIVER THE CAR TO ANYWHERE IN THE UK WITH A CHARGE DEPENDING ON WHERE IT WILL GO TOO. THIS CAN BE ARRANGED AFTER OR BEFORE THE END OF THE AUCTION. . I MAY CONSIDER ANY PART EXCHANGE, JUST LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE TO OFFER. . THIS IS A RARE CHANCE TO OWN A PIECE OF M-SPORT ! !

Am I the only that thinks the story is a heap of shit and it's just a zetec focus with some cheap "rally" bits stuck on?
It might have been losely affliated with Ford rallying at one point but it's definately not WRC

At least when vauxhalls 888 racing team had a play station car it was a genuine btcc astra bertone that had a heavy rear end shunt. Anyone who went to the 888 factory for either a tour or have work done on their vxr would remember the car in re reception.

I remember the ford dealership where I used live had focus just like that, dressed up like wrc car but really a dressed up road car.they used to use it as expensive gaming chair with screen over windscreen and gran turismo iirc. the car in ad is all ready for 4x4 cosworth running gear though.

Surely if it was a rally shell, you wouldn't be able to bolt in a normal road going shopping spec engine & box, as they completely change the mounting points etc on the rally shells for a start?
