focus hid conversion advice
Anyone fitted an hid conversion to mk1 focus?
Ok? Any problems?

I fitted some to my mk1.5 estate...
Fitted H7 35w 6000k

Did you fit through the covers on the back of the headlight unit?

Drill the holes in the covers yep, then feed the wiring through and put the grommet in the hole...

You must only fit them into projector type units. If you fit them into a reflector headlamp you deserve a swift and very violent kick in the bollocks.
35w HID kit will be ample.

gets my vote too as nothing more p*sses me off than these bulbs fitted to non projector headlights

I had them years ago in a mk1 focus and they were shit. Bright, but light scattered all over the place and was always getting flashed. Got a kit now in my mondeo with projector lamps and they are brilliant, just as good as my old ST with factory hids.

+2, they can be dangerous if not in projector headlights, all your achieving is dazzling other road users.

Ok I will just get normal bulbs then as I have reflector type units
