ELASTIC BAND
Both xr4i and xr4x4 were injected 2.8v6 then in about 1989 the xr4x4s become 2.9
all about the 150bhp mark.
24v was from the Granadas, and makes a very nice conversion .

Fart of the Purniture
I personally dislike the standard 4i grill which is the same as some of the other mk1 Sierra's - it's horrid.
Also the standard 4i front bumper is ugly too...
But with a little subtlety....
Cossie front bumper cleverly disguised with the grey paint and the base model grill, looks far more distinctive I think.
Plus a dirty great v8 as well!!
Was on the bay recently.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Whether people like them or not they have been a special ford. They had a body shell designed for them (which lost ford lot of money). Not many other sporting fords have had that apart from escort cosworth.
And they led the way for the sierra cosworth. With their big spoiler and rwd and at the time decent power they really pushed the boundaries in car design

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Love an XR4i. The only car I ever owned that saw a polishing on a weekend regularly.
Sold mine for Ł300 or there abouts to a breaker in Essex with repairable front corner damage. Regret selling it.

Wahay!! I've lost my Virginity!!
Seen a xr4x4 the other day, held up the cars behind me in the process of waiting for it to come round the roundabout so I could pull in behind it and follow it
