Default Focus st diff bearings?

After a bit of a play one night I managed to spin the left wheel on a grid and it span then once I hit Tarmac I got a bit of wheel hop and a thud. Next day I noticed a whine noise coming from that side near the gearbox. Any way took it to a garage I go to in Manchester and it was suspected the drivers shaft. Replaced that and still have the whine. Also suggested to swap tyres around which I did and still no joy. Been told could be wheel bearing or diff bearings. The noise pitch doent alter while changing gear. It gets louder with speed and faints down when you slow down. No play in the wheels or anything. I'm thinking the worst and thinking diff bearings. I've booked it in to Motorsport developments for them to diagnose as I can't afford to just keep replacing parts and it not working. Here's a vid of the noise

Would it be cheaper just to sling a new box in it? Plenty of breakers on ebay.

Yes and no really. I've already been quoted if it is diff bearings which works out the same as getting a second box which then you have labour ontop which. To have the box out and new diff bearings fitted £300 or second hand box £300 then fitting on top again which will work out more really
