Default focus mk1 seat bolt 'T' bit size?

Can anybody advise what size the 'T' bit is to remove focus mk1 seats?

also is the any precautions to take when removing said seats due to airbag etc and how to do it safely?

If I remember right it's a T50. Disconnect the battery first, remove the multi plug under the seat, for this you need to undo the small screw in the middle of the plug, it's about an 8 or a 6mm socket then the plug will come off.

ok cheers mate. i will buy a kit around that size i suppose.

after disconnecting the battery do i need to wait a certain length of time or am i good to go?

They say you are supposed to wait around half an hour for the airbags and seat belt pretensioners to discharge, but I've never bothered, it's just a precaution. With the ignition off the airbag circuit is dead any way so I wouldn't worry too much!
