Default Ib5 gearbox ratios

Is there a big difference in gear ratios between the 1.8 diesel ib5 and the 1.3 ib5 petrol box

I don't no off the top of my head.The diesel box I have fitted now is from a P reg and the one I am fitting on Wednesday is from an R reg.I no diesels are long geared compared to petrols and I wont have the gearbox codes till Wednesday when I take the box out.

Final drives - Fiesta 1995> Only 2 different gear sets but different final drives used.

1.3 and 1.8 diesel same FD!

1,3 Endura E Saloon A 3,82
1,3 Endura E Saloon B* 3,82
1,3 Endura E Courier A 4,06
1,25 Zetec SE Saloon B 4,25
1,4 Zetec SE Saloon A 4,25
1,4 Zetec SE Courier A 4,25
1,8 Endura DE Saloon B 3,82
1,8 Endura DE Courier B 3,82
* = For France only

Gear set A Gear set B
First gear 3,58 3,58
Second gear 2,04 1,93 <DIFFERENT
Third gear 1,32 1,28 <DIFFERENT

Diesel 'box will do a higher speed in 2nd and 3rd.

You could work it out with a gear ratio tool.

If you're fitting a 1.3 'box it should feel a bit more lively in 2nd and 3rd as slightly lower geared.

It's not a massive difference.
