Default LSD Rebuilds

I've got a couple of high mileage limited slip diffs I would like to get rebuilt. The limited slip diffs are genuine Ford diffs from the Racing Puma, very similar to the ones fitted to the Escort RS series.

I've heard a few people mention that after 60 or so thousand miles the limited slip diffs stop working and start functioning like a open diff.

Does anyone have any experience in rebuilding a limited slip diff? Know of any guides on rebuilding a limited slip diff? Or can point me into the direction of someone who can rebuild limited slip diffs?

Yes, I've used them a few times and met Bernie, the main man there several times. Nice guy and knows his stuff inside out and back to front.

Plenty on here will vouch for him, he has a very good reputation.

No that's absolutely perfect Mike, thank you.

Phil sounds like the right bloke, being local and an ex Boreham engineer. Depending on what years he worked there he might even no the FRP a little bit.

I will update here on how I get on. I'm currently making a few enquires and I'm not actually looking at getting them rebuilt to around April. I have sent emails to the other 3 companies and I will give Phil a ring in the coming days.
