Default Honda civics new type R

I no its not a ford but the new Honda looks very interesting.300bhp in turbo form sounds nutty.I hope its as good as the mk1 Honda civic type R as that is quick when it gets going.Im not sure about the colour for the new civic and weird tiger looking stripes though.

I think he is referring to an EK9

And i genuinely do not see the attraction of v'tec powered anything. Ok they are a good concept. But its like saying your gf is the best in the world, when in reality you know there is better out there!

Prefer the EP3 over the FN shape personally externally but internally loved the FN2.

Vtech to me is so over hyped that you expect you'll shit your knickers with the experience, when in fact it is just a great engine to wring the neck out of, get it singing and it is very addictive. But lacks in the thrills of a turbo coming on boost and pinning you in your seat as it feels like the car is going to turn inside out : )

Fully see the appeal, B16/18's are the one of the finest four cylinder lumps ever made.

They'll never be the same, used to be hardcore drivers cars but the newest stuff is soft as shit IMO.

Its not just vtec that makes the good cars, its the engine layout, suspension design and lots of other little things that make them better than pretty much any FWD car made between 1987 and 2000.

Blimey imagine the dummies that are gonna be spat over that! A turbo'd type r!

Might finally pull the skin off a rice pudding.

I don't get the whole vtec thing, I had an S2000 which was (what?) over 200bhp and it was ssslooow. It was a great car though, really liked it but just kept thinking it needed a supercharger. I just found the engine quite annoying, and the sound of it revving very annoying. I'm a turbo whore though.

The ek9 is a whole different animal compared to the comparably "soft as shite" ep3 you've pictured. The Japanese spec ep3 again is completely different to the uk spec - seems the Japanese think we're all a little soft over here

Japanese - committed, talented

Brits - over committed, under talented

And fiesta jed, the hot hatch segment in the 90s was overrun by the french whether your think so or not. Sales prove that!! Everything else was pretty mundane!

Even in japan Ef civics are doing big money (10k+ for proper kanjo cars)

Egs do rust best to get an imported one to avoid rust issues.

The jdm versions are always better/ more hardcore. UK ep3s dont even have an lsd FFS.

Sales only prove what sold more they dont prove what cars are better.

If they where not better, it must have been better value for money to buy the french shite. So technically they where "better"

Mundane
An EG SiR would run rings around an equivalent French hot tin can!

As above, sales prove nothing. The price alone of good quality J Tin stuff compared to French hatches says it all.
