Nothing interesting really..

Ford Aubergine as found on the escort cosworth is very dark purple..ish.

And here comes the boring question.. What colour does it say in the logbook?

My puma is now this colour and may need to change it from black.

Thanks the replies.. The colour I need is what Ford gave it for DVLA purposes. They have a limited number of colours, my guess is purple but really need to know what it says it a logbook. Hoping someone who owns an escort cosworth in this colour can confirm!

My rs2000 4x4 was dark aubergine and the log book said RED,
I had it checked out at a ford dealers and I was told Dark Aubergine cars were registered as either Black or Red

When mine was painted I asked for the darkest shade so wondering if for mine it would say black... Which would be handy as the car was black before!

My Mondeo is a very similar colour and the log book says "Red"

Well I had a aubergine rs2000 and all my mates thought it was black lol. I'd leave it, no biggy really

Thanks for this.. I think I might leave it as black. The only other colour on there I think it would be is purple.

But the aubergine I wanted and got is dark, it shows it's colour in the sun.

Yeah it almost looks black at night but when the sun hits it the deep purple comes through

Just looked through the paper work for an Aubergine RS2000 and V5 says PURPLE.

Wow, so it seemed like whoever registered the car at the time, if it was aubergine, got whatever colour they fancied.

Doesn't seem like any pattern is emerging here

Maybe I'm colour blind but the obvious choices from the ones the DVLA sent me seem like black or purple!

Mine was changed from Red to Maroon on the day it was registered according to HPI, typical Ford, I mean how is Aubergine Red? lol
