Default 20's Plenty and Speed Kills stickers

Why do they always seem to be stuck to cars that are driven like mongoid fucktards?

Followed a people carrier proudly displaying its "20's Plenty" sticker through a local town. Hesitated at the junction, dithered on to the gyratory, straddled both lanes before turning off and then indicating.

so they can drive about with a sense of moral superiority while not actually realising theyre areholes.carry a marker pen in your pocket to add "but its not the speed limit so hurry up you retard" under them when you see one

you could also add "indicate before you turn not after" and "pay attention to those big white lane lines on the road" and "no dithering when you can clearly see for miles you fud" underneath but that might take a while ....

So do we all drive round at 20mph then.Who actually does 70mph in lane 3 of the motorway.I think most don't and if you did you wouldn't last long.I admit I don't do 70 on the motorway. But what is a safe speed then?

Problem is the blinkered assumption that speed is the bee all and end all of every collision and close call in history.

There seems a huge shove at the minute towards 20mph zones yet the figures for KSI collisions in 30 limits shows the concept is completely unnecessary. It does however pander superbly to politicians and whiney parents who seem to feel shocked that their children are oddly their responsibility.

If they brought speed limit to 20mph then the wankers would have 10mph is adequate, no need to speed.

My kids are 5 and 6 and I have a 20 month old. When ever me and my missus go for a walk anywhere the kids hold my hand or the missus hand we teach the kids the right and wrong. These days I see kids way ahead of there parents hanging about near the road if not in the road, not using the traffic lights and crossing on bends. There is no common sence these days and when some one does get knocked over its the drivers fault, but hang on where was your kid and why was he or she running in the road but we are the bad people for knocking the kid or pedestrian down!

My answer was " at 3AM i feel you should maybe ask why there kids are running about at 3am first"

oh and my kid STILL holds my hand when crossing the road,,, she stands at the curb and she is 10 years old,,,, ok over parenting maybe but she aint bounced off a bonnet yet

The problem is young drivers are not taught how to drive..

Only to pass a test

There lies the problem.

these badges are to show you that the driver is an idiot, much like the fish badges and any badge with the word 'blue' in it (e.g. vw bluemotion etc).

Yeah the fish means Jesus is king and you believe in god
There is also a fish shaped one with the words DARWIN inside which means we evolved and were not created by a fictional character .

The speed kills thing is very vague.Say if you driving down the motorway at 90 and someone cuts you up,there a big crash and you get the blame for going 90.They say "if you weren't going so fast you would have had time to avoid him".But if he didn't cut you up,you wouldn't of crashed into him.

what used to be a 60 zone, then a 50 is now a 40 in Salford....... This is due to a child not using the pedestrian bridge, what was 3 lanes is now 2 and one lane in places plus the 20 section with speed bumps for a main arterial road. The town planners are steeling my life a minute at a time! why? some of the restricted sections have no pedestrian access! All this for safety.... some times I need to feel alive!

I would sooner see a sticker on the back of a car and a bit dithery than a driver with a phone in there hand.

It is possible to drive perfectly well with a phone in your hand. But then you need to be a competent driver in the first place - Not a ditherer who needs as little distraction as possible.

I can only do 56mph in my cab and I get nob heads with out word of warning just throwing the car in front of you in lane 1 then braking make you brake then pissing off down the slip road when they could have stayed behind me as there was nothing there. The driver only had to wait another 30 or so seconds. It boils my piss. But if I hit them when this happens it would be my fault!

I'm not alone then......

I've followed people with the speeding stickers through 2 villages with a 30 limit, i slow for the 30 and they stay at somewhere above it, i catch them in the nsl doing 49.75 mph then the next village they stand it on its nose to 30. a few metres along they pull into a drive!! So its fine to speed in other villages but not your own?!?

I could go on all day about the standard of driving. I never profess to being the perfect driver but i at least maintain the speed limit and i'm aware of whats going on around me.

I think there is the argument for the motorway limit to be increased to 80. The only problem is that car safety and technology has improved but driving standards haven't.

I'd like to see stickers reading 'texting at the wheel kills' more so after watching a work driving safety video, not nice hearing about a young father & his 6 month old baby being killed by a driver texting at the wheel-all that remained of that baby was a foot.

This is quite a good point actually. I'll bet to try and hide contacting someone people who may have made a safer phone call are now texting which is a real danger IMO.
