Default Rs Turbo engine identification, HELP!

hey guys, need to know, how can you identify that the rs turbo engine is a factory turbo one, or just a normal cvh with turbo parts fitted??

The big hole drilled into the front where the oil returns from the turbo
Otherwise any cvh block looks the same really

You can get the oil return put in to the block.

The cheapest way would be to put the return in to the sump

think car was an xr3i. problem is, I cant tell if it had a proper rst engine or they just bolted a turbo on its normal cvh

Rst conversion requires loom change
All rs injection system
There's a lot to change
You can just chuck it all onto a 3i lump but they don't last too long

Only way mate is rip it apart. Then u can see.

Or stick a prope down the plug hole and have a look at the top of the piston.
