ive never seen a shaft break on a road car with ALS, but they still can, but it depends on how strong the shaft is, different turbos have different strengths.

id say heat is more of an issure than anything snapping with ALS anyhow

heat wise id say hes safe to 1000degC on a std shaft which takes a suprisingly long time to get there

 

Dunno about that, but what the fuck is a dual ball bearing?

 

Dual ball bearing is a type of BB core, and like all BB cores its a load of hype that does jack shit apart from make the turbo more expensive to fix!

I was always under the impression that ball bearing cores had loads of little ball bearings, and roller bearing were loads of little rollers.

Just wondered how it's "dual"?
