Hello,

So I'm getting a new car and want to keep my number plate and do a swap but i also want to keep my tax money as its almost a year worth.

How can i do all of this as it seems they want my tax when i get my number plate moved or when i get it retained they still want to change it but then i can't send it back for my money...

Is there anyway round this?

you don't send them the actual tax disc, just the serial number etc, send the tax disc seperatly to the address for cashing in but make sure you do it by close of play tomorrow or you will lose jans proportion of the tax.

So do them at the same time? Get the plate retained and send the tax off (separate) they will send me the plate on paper and a refund whenever?
