Default Best value for money Wireless Router and Broadband package?

Afternoon all,

Just wondering what everyone thinks is the best value for money (in terms of performance and money) broad band service?

And finally the best value for money wireless broadband router for the home, preferably with some kind of security feature built in to stop people getting a free rid.

Many thanks in advanced

i'm referring to the little 1 or 4 port wireless cable modem routers.

here in work we use everything Cisco, and never have issues

colleagues cant afford these so have bought cheaper systems like

netgear
linksys
bt voyagers

and some others

EVERYONE that has used the linksys one's has nothing but trouble, where they drop the connection (wireless) then connect back about 30seconds later.

first of all i put it down to the user setting it up wrong, but when more and more had the same issue, i put it down the crap equipment.

yeh, it's sure that if the user leaves it in "connect on demand" and not on "keep alive", the issue you stated can happen ; or if there is too high a number of connections on several TCP or UDP ports at the same time, but this can be set up in the routeur admin panel (the number of simultaneous connections)... nothing related to linksys fault, anyway.
I have installed lots of them, as well as loads of every other brands, and they all work flawlessly, as long as the guy installing them knows his job correctly
BTW, Linksys belongs to and is made by Cisco.

cisco have only recently bought them

as said i didn't set them up users did

we have no issues in work with over 300 access points

i thought it might have need recycling of security keys but as no-one would lend their's i couldn't test their loss, my bt voyager has no issues
