Correct! Ford were using bird names on their special editions at the time, as well as the Linnet and Harrier there was also a MKII Escort Goldcrest, and the MKI Fiesta Sandpiper and Kingfisher (all rare).

Most Linnets were 4 door but they also made some 2 door cars, like the Harrier Linnets came in Diamond White and Strato Silver but a few other colours were available. They had parts from the GL, Sport, Ghia and RS to upgrade them. I personally prefer the Linnet to the Harrier as its a lot rarer had more extras and I think it just looks smarter.

To confirm the Escort used in the Minder opening titles is not a Harrier (the Harrier hadn’t been released when the titles were filmed), the car came from Ford and its rumoured they originally planned for it to be Terry’s car but was considered too flash for Terry so a Capri was used instead. Apparently the car still survives in Wales but has been in storage for many years.
