in them days ford where left with loads off bits so they created a limited edition linnet and harrier harrier was a 1600 sport but was upgraded with bits from the rs range ie fisnet recaros etc the linnet was a base car with a gl spec i think

Both the Harrier and Linnet are small birds and the names most likely came from the marketing department or maybe not!!

Harrier prices will rise as RS prices have gone silly used to love Harriers when I was little as I could only afford a 1600 Sport @ (Ł2000 in 1984).

my first car was an escort Linnet. It cost me Ł250 from my boss.It was venetian Red had red seats/door cards,RS three spoke steering wheel.Vinyl roof ,spot lights etc.
I ended up replacing the front panel, both wings, both wing rails, rear arches.Full respray and put the RS spoilers/wheels on etc.
IT was a great car but was very slow.I ended up replacing it with a Fiesta 1.4s with xr2 kit on and fiesta turbo wheels.

The stripes and seats and it would have different arches and wheels if it was a RS1800

If it was an rs2000 it would have the drop snoot nose cone
