i like it. i aint in any crowd or clique cos i see it for what it is, an information base for like minded people to swap and express ideas.

i dont give two fks about getting to know anyone or my online 'persona' , i think when people start treating forums as part of their social life is when problems arise. just dont take it too seriously.

I think it has become a victim of it's own success leading to heavier moderation/controls. But it is needed on a site this size. It's no longer a pure RS only site and has attracted a lot of other enthusiasts (a good thing). You can;t always have your cake and eat it

Absolutely fantastic site, really valuable resource, completely crammed with knowledgeable people who are willing to help.

The comments about "the in crowd" are a load of rubbish as far as im concerned, im a newbie who has only been hear a few months and yet i always get answeres when i ask questions.

Ive never been in the muppet room so i cant comment about that bit, but this section doesnt seem bitchy at all and everyone seems to have a really good sense of humour.

One of the best car forums on the net IMHO

Its great, some of the stuff you can find out about anything including non-car related stuff is amazing. Ask a question and in 5 minutes you'll get an answer. Dead friendly in the main too. I'm certainly not one of the 'in-crowd'.

Some people treat it a bit too seriously IMO, i'm used to a bit of banter and piss taking so it's all normal to me.

Folks get the hump far too easily on here occasionaly and it blows out of proportion.......best forum on the interweb by miles.

Those that are complaining about lack of replies, if you want to draw people into your threads, might I suggest a suitably detailed / specific title to get people's curiousity / interest aroused .

Personally, I aren't fussy who I abuse, er, I mean "help" .

The bitchiness is just like real life (and seems to come and go in cycles) and whilst it's easy to focus on the negatives, the positives far outweigh the neg's, imo

As to the cliques - bollox, that's a perception issue. Yes there's people who 'know' each other so tend to have a bit more 'fun' with them, but I always try to help whoever, newbie or post whore, lol

i first used the site to get info on engines ect, and i heave learnt hell of a lot.

i mainly just use the gen diss section, i have noticed tho that cos i dont own a cossie you get a lot less help on questions asked than if you did.

other that that, i have been threatened with the sack on 2 occasions now for using the internet at work
