Default Puma linkage into mk4 xr3i escort

As above. Been wanting to do this for a while.

Puma just come in the scrappy so have the chance to get it. Will any puma linkage do?

Can anyone give me as much info on how i do the conversion, step by step would be good or any pics!

Any help would be appreciated!

Yeah any puma linkage should do it. It's pretty straight forward, just take the std linage off and fit the puma one in it's place! You might have to drill 2 holes to mount it but that's about it iirc

Oh thought it would be abit more tricky then that!

What gear do you selet when taking the old linkage off?

Reverse

It's a simple as said above , just need to mark and drill 2 holes and the interior weather seal thingy can be bolted back into place so still looks factory from the inside .

It's a doddle

Do these still self-centre when fitting to older cars? As the Puma iB5 has an internal spring in the box to self-centre across the neutral gate.

What so you loose neutral or it just dosn't just spring back into neutral?
