Im soon to be the proud owner of an 8' x 8' shed which i will be erecting in my back garden. Its gonna be put into a corner of our garden which is covered with grass at the moment. Im trying to establish the best base to use. Its been suggested that i use bricks or concrete blocks, but ive never done this before and TBH dont know where to start. Can anyone offer any advice.

As Tiff - put a concrete slab in as a good floor. A bit overkill for a shed but will keep it dry and stop the base rotting out.

Thanks for the tips, ive got a problem in as much as i cant use a solid concrete base, but normal paving slabs should be sufficient shouldnt they? Whats best to lay them with? What sort of mix shall i use?

Use a concrete base if ya SURE it will be permanent...if not:
Dig the grass up, about 6 inches of soil out. Fill with about 3 inches of limestone, compact it. Then an inch of grit sand, screed it level, then lay concrete 3X2 slabs on the sand. No need to mix any mortar or concrete.....The weight of the shed on the slabs is suffice.
