which one is that ?

im likeing the idea of black base colour as it will help hide any embarrasments lol

the cosworth engine one I found is based on a 1.6 so doesn't have naff all really except the engine.

im starting to think a 2.8i is the way to go so I get the lsd and 160 hp and I like the interior aswell, or a 3.0s but id have to forfeit the lsd then.
or buy a 1.6 myself cheaper and fit an engine of my chooseing.
decisions decisions......

lsd as standard so great fun for some tail action and the half leather interior is also nice imo.

ive just found a build thread for a guy in Sweden.
I think hes made his own kit, he has lowered the car a lot put a massive amount of work into it in all areas.
if I can get anywhere near this I will be a very happy bunny

I reckon the person who made that CCI kit was also responsible for this marvellous piece of engineering:

I reckon do the RS3100, always loved the mk1's!

who on earth built that metro fpmsl

the front of the cci kit is good but the rear is completely ruined without the spoiler.
I do also love the mk1s but im set on a zakspeed with maybe a 2.8i as a base car.

Zack speed without a doubt but has to b a proper rep, like you say with the spoiler, bumper cut out, proper Bonnet bulge...

Engine wise for the noise alone I would use an ajp v8 out of a tvr!!!!
Plus they bolt straight onto a cossie t5 box.

Or this
http://www.bmwowner.com/forum/viewto...311ca8430dc42b

Over 500bhp, full rwd running gear.

The Jaegermeister is all orange with graphics, I can't post pics at the moment, photo bucket is playing up!
That Swedish kit is much better and looks realistic compared to the cci kit.
Don't be out off by a 1.6 if its got good engine, unless u pay big money these days for a 2.8i special chances are it will have been robbed of its diff by the escort boys, iv bought a few over the years with no LSD!

I will do my best mate within my budget. it would be nice to forced induction as the original car was.
apparently the 2.8i can make about 230 hp with abit of boost on a healthy stock lump that would be plenty I reckon, and the cologne does sound nice with an appropriate exhaust

it would be nice, ade500 has mentioned he has a sprintex kit which would fit the bill nicely

I have asked the guy in Sweden what wheels he has as they look just about perfect, fingers crossed there not ridiculous money.

they are awesome a proper rep would need to be spaceframed and a 500 hp cossie lump would fit the bill but my budget will not even come close.
200+ hp with a nice stock interior and the external looking as close as I can get to the real deal is my aim.
I will paint it myself and I will be trying 2 pak for the first time instead of shitty cellulose lol

my kit looks very similar to the Swedish one just gotta find a base car and wait for the kit to be made. if I buy a 2.8i it absolutely must have an lsd in it or I wont buy it lol. imagine it on a track day alright not that quick but with about 230 hp and lsd on a capri back axle wiggling its bum coming out of corners would be a good laugh and im sure spectators would enjoy it to.

add a pic when you can mate I havnt seen an orange one yet

for 2 reasons first of because its black base and it will hide any embarrasements better than white will lol and second of all its got some ford blue in it and its not been done before.
I think id be silly to do white as its been done twice already so d&w and mampe are canidates so far really.

I have dizzy, pipes, bracket for charger to block bottom pulley and the belt to I think. I think you may need a profile block to go in the metering unit, I never had one and struggled to get enough fuel in top end without it being rich down the bottom end.

I have some more bits like a seriously low miles bottom 2.8i end with a cam and a hp oil pump I will send with it.

Jaegermeister looks the bollocks! That's what I'd chose. 230hp tt will be good fun, we have a 200hp tt and a 230 one and there's a big difference, although u wouldn't think it, between the 2, a 230 will outrun a standard Cossie no problem.but yes must have an LSD!
Ade, that kit is a Sierra kit, the sprintex Capri kit had the blower mounted on a specially made inlet manifold, although I'm sure with a bit of fabrication work u can get it to work, just u haven't got room with them pipes as a Capri has boxy inner wings where as the Sierra one are more angled allowing more room. We tried a jaguar xr6 r supercharger on a cologne, the same as a sprintex kit.
Rare kit now the sprintex kit!

your a true gent ade thank you.
it will proper finish the car off and give the engine that special touch like the body will have

you will always be welcome to have a blap in a zakspeed rep aswell my friend

I will have to add a sprintex ade500 sticker to the livery aswell

Yep it was on a Sierra but I'm sure as you say a bit of fab work would get it in

It from memory only sat out as far as the alternator And it would be nice to try a smaller pulley on it .... Lol

I have just found a capri 2.8i special, its above my planned budget for the base car but im considering it

http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C445687

the other issue is its almost to good to rip the wings off, cut the back arches all out and strip it right back for the kit. I need a car just like that but a bit cheaper needing a spray job. its got all the bits though modded engine to 3.0, lsd and the half leather

I like the blue/black aswell but the livery will be a nightmare whereas the jagermesiter is just orange with obtainable livery, the d&w and mampe may as well be made of unobtainium lol

that's the kit ive ordered direct from the manufacturer, ive also ordered the 4 piece aerofoil spoiler, not cheap but is the closest to original I can find so bought it

If it was me id go Gaa and i luv mk3's.
Biggest problem i've seen is with zakspeed replica's is getting them to sit low enough,
If i was to do it id forget about 2.8 or 3.0 and just start with a rusty 1'6 or 2 litre and a rusty fox body mustang for engine gearbox and wider back axle
Good look though will look savage when finished

im dead set on a 2.8i special mate for the lsd and now the supercharger will be well over 200 hp.
I hear you on the getting it low enough, I will just slam it right on its arse first and mock the kit up with the rims and go from there, I may be able to get it and just need some funky top mounts up front, its gotta be streetable aswell so I need to set a clearance and stick to it.

what is speed hump height ? maybe 3" clearance I need ?

edit
ive just read speed humps are normally 3 - 4 inches so I need really 4.5" I guess. I will do the minimum I need to just so I don't smash the bumper to bits.

ive just read speed humps are normally 3 - 4 inches so I need really 4.5" I guess. I will do the minimum I need to just so I don't smash the bumper to bits.
well mine rides at 110mm and clears everything spoiler clears eveything (not as big as yours i know ) still managed to get 3.5in up travel front and back so ain't to bad.
Just don't buy too rough a 2.8, Lsd's ain't great to start with although you can add extra clutch plates and make sure its got good oil pressure and compression if ya warp the heads there cu*ts to get right

sweet 110 mm is about 4.5 " if I can get that low.

I have found a special with lsd and just been moted for £2500 and it is apparently tidy and healthy.
also found a 2.8i non special that looks tidy aswell for £2500 and open to offers.

I plan on doing some viewing as soon as I have time

hey mate not been back long, it wasn't a shed but not good enough oil pressure was worryingly low and nasty rattle from the top end.
seats where mint and showed 71000 miles but im pretty sure shes been tarted up and seats recovered and really 171000 miles lol

next up is a 2.8i but not a special 150 miles away though again
has nice interior though seats look very similar to a saph cossie and rears looked to match from the picks unless that's what 2.8i injections had ?
listed as 117000 miles this one, worth a look I need a decent engine with some half decent oil pressure to screw that sprintex to

I could build an engine I guess but I want to concentrate on the bodykit and just tuning ideally.

I have found a supplier that can do virtually an exact match for all the jagermeister stickers so I am now 80% sure im doing the jagermeister livery although that will be a long way of yet but nice to plan ahead.

and ive been informed rims are imagewheels bbm

http://www.imagewheels.co.uk/large_wheel_pages/bbm.html

they look pretty spot on to me.
planning on 18x10j rears and 17x9j fronts but will have to measure up once the kits on. price wise im looking at £1612 if I go with those sizes + tyres lol
