shows how much u know, the supercharged 32v modular ford engine is one of the cheapest engines to build or tune, and get some silly amounts of power out of reliably, 1000hp on a stock bottom end as its a fully forged bottom end from the factory, i've been researching these engines for a few years now, and they are fantastic engines, the new mustang is running a 5.8 ltr version of the engine and produces 662hp from the factory and has low emissions with good mpg

Duratec V6 twin turbo aka noble engine.

All the power you can want and a reasonably light package. Plus its in the spirit of the original car by being a v6.

Stick with a YB running a genuine 500 or 550 bhp. Quite easily achievable and no to a T4 and 8 greens.

Wheels def need to go seeing that pic again

in all seriousness id stick with the yb, iirc you were happy with 500 hp anyways so maybe just try a more modern turbo setup that will give you more response and still 500 hp.

will we be seeing this thread again next year to? Seems like an annual thread "what engine for the 4i" Why not just put in what you want rather than what everyone else wants?

You do need to listen to everyone else about the wheels though lol

3 pages and still none the wiser

For a bit of variation, I will suggest a 1.5 VVT Hybrid out of a 2012 Yaris

Still reckon after all is said and done it will still be a YB.

Back on topic of engine.

Get Sheady to build you a Evo Lump with a BW, now that'd be different and very reliable too

Unless you really really want a YB I'd go V8 and increase capacity , if you want good power in std(ish) trim I'd go LS2 or 3 with minor mods or you could go 1UZFE with turbos and have a cheap (ish) monster.. Both options will give way better drivability than a big YB. My Escort is getting a V8 with forced induction.

Forget all above as I can see you're as narrow minded as most Why the @uck did'nt you mention that Ford engines were the only option in the title?? Or would that have ruined the attention seeking?
