After selling my FRST and running a couple of German numbers, i'm so happy to be back to some rs ownership.
After the love hate relationship I had with the last one, I wasn't looking to buy another for a while but after been offered a series 1 at the right price I thought it would be rude not to
.
And I'm so so pleased I did, after wanting a series 1 for so long. The car is C234 XCL if anyone has any history with this car. I don't know to much about its history before around 2006-07 and has since been mainly in storage with 2 friends of mine. Any more info is welcome.
The car is standard apart from a stainless system and some koni's and a 4 spoke rs steering wheel, its never been chipped, no k&n or any of that and i bloody love it. Its a nice clean example and hopefully it'll only get better with some time and effort.
really looking forward to using and enjoying her. plus it means I cant go to ford fair in style next year and not in a corsa pmsl.

Haha bloody hell she is looking a bit sad in that picture. I'll have a go at trying to upload a couple of more recent pictures. when i got here she had a bit of grime in a few places but after a good couple of days on her she already looks a different car.

I will be adding the rear over rides as soon as I get my hands on some. For whatever reason they are missing, but they'll be back soon. As for the exhaust i'm not sure mate, I did have a quick look the other day and couldn't see any marking so not sure if its a custom one, but it sounds nice and not to loud and also has a nice look about it

I think its quiet a good one, i'll take some more pics when i get chance. I'll be tucking her away for the winter very soon and plan to do a couple of bits on the body which i'm not happy with, minor stone chips mainly. Then the plan is to run her next year and enjoy her before pulling the engine and running gear out for a freshen up, clean, paint and powder coat everything

Looks a little gem mate, cleaned up a beauty. Loved the night shot. One of those cars that people just love to come over and take a look around, when I had mine I would always get people give me the admiring nod and thumbs up.
Have you popped on to www.seriesoneturbo.co.uk yet? a must for mk3 owners, especially S1's.

Oh no, i love abit of old skool feel to the steering. And every time i take it out i love it more and more. I haven't driven any other s1's so cant compair but the mate i bought it off has driven a few in his time and says this is the only one he's driven that drives spot on. Like i said i cant compair but the powers smooth, the ride is a little harsh but i dont mind that and it handles so so much better than i could hope for. Its got some fairly good rubber on, sp sports, but i'm fairly confident i'll loose my nerve before it does. Over all i'm so happy, its much more driveable all round than my frst was, its just gonna pain me now putting her away for the winter, roll on next summer lol

Lovely car mate, you're sure to turn a few heads in it. It's nice to hear when people are so pleased with their new car, often cars don't live up to expectations but I'm glad to hear that yours has.

Althought its looking abit sad in that picture i think most of it was fixed with abit of tlc. I know its had a couple of bits done by the last owner but if i remeber they were only minor bits, i'm sure at some point over the last 28 years its had some work but there are some little tell tail signs that suggest not for a long time. I know when i bought it, i booked it in to the bodyshop and has some surface rust sorted on the rear panel below both rear lights, hence the stripped down rear end but other than that its just been a machine polish and time spent cleaning bits up in the harder to get places, mostly with a cotton bud :-(

I plan to keep it a good while tbh. Still getting use to abit of rs ownership again, every journey is an adventure lol. Today has highlighted a couple of issues both the battery light and brake light came on today lol. I think the battery light is some bad wire somewhere and the brake fluid is down abit so will have to investigate that one but thinking a bust brake pipe somewhere. And so it starts lol fingers crossed i can keep the love this time
