Default Replacement Boot Struts??

Any of you guys got experience with the tailgate struts sold on eBay?? Usually if something is too good to be true, it turns out to be wank.. but I'd rather pay 18quid than 40quid.

My dad picked some up a couple of years ago now for my mams astra, still going strong to this day

Not sure who the seller was though

Yeah I've got cheap ebay ones on my banger mondeo. They are ok, do what they are supposed to, but the exposed part on the piston rod quickly went rusty but apart from that they are spot on.

This is true! My dad sanded the rust off and caked them in grease. Perfect then.

I sure do Russell, just treated it to a machine cut/glaze/wax and it's come up extremely well.. I'll be posting some pictures of it in the gallery once it's taxed up and on the road.
