Default bmw e92 320i currently undrivable...any ideas?

my 57 reg e92 320i after driving it all day yesterday decided to konk out today. initially after turning on the revs were very rough at idle and the car was juddering, aswell as a strong smell of petrol there was some smoke coming from the exhaust. the auto stop/start was regularly kicking in due to the revs fluctuating and whenever trying to pull away it stalled.

currently sat on the drive, any ideas, not too tricked out on modern cars but thinking possibly spark plugs and has had a misfire, maybe some fuel in one of the cylinders? wasnt a pleasant experience, will have to get the garage in so fingers crossed.

check the coils on the spark plugs,it will probably be one of those.check it on a fault code reader to tell you which are faulty

I'd say a coil as well, changed a fair few of them.

Yep, changed a few when these cars (E9x) were quite new when I was at BMW main dealer.

Coding coils to the car?! I can't see that myself as I've changed loads of these at the roadside with no issues whatsoever.
