hi guys thinking of getting my car painted, question i have is can window seals on a 3dr be reused, or do they have to be replaced if the glass comes out.
Secondly ive spoken to ford who dont do them anymore, wher could i get the said items
Thanks
Paul
You can get them out with out damage .
But be so careful , use the right tool for the job and find where there clipped on coz ic i remember right there is 10 clips per side and take your time as you will only get one chance to get it right
A fella from auto glass fitted new rubbers to mine as the originals bent when the painter took them out, IMO the new ones look better and wont fade like the originals tend to do, it only cost £30

hi mate do you know where he got the rubber ones from?
i think you have to remove the window and trim at the same time to avoid bending the trim surround
this is the correcty way ^^the seals above do look nice at,least we all know now that you have a cheaper option available.
here's a couple of pics from when i removed mine.
you can still get the front screen trims with the groove in. also available on a roll so you can cut to length for the tailgate. as for the quarter glass trims, as above best way is from inside cutting glass and trim out together. i personally dont like that universal rubber trim as on the tight corners it tends to lift and/or kink after a while as well as looking crap.
