The fact these modern cars can be taken within 10 seconds via the obd is something I've been raving about for years, you can pick these devices up from china, for £2000, a small price if your stealing 3-4 cars a week, people need to alarm there cars properly, the standard manufacturers alarm is pants, you may aswell not even have one, always go for an after market one on top of your standard one.

It happened to the BMW's now they are hitting the fords, even better if they are keyless and push button start. A lot of focus RS's have been taken this way.

It all went tits up when we went digital!! Should fit cars with old skool switch to the fuel pump immobiliser . Or at least the owners should!

The scam is perfect if you want to clone a wrecked vehicle!! Got to be a way to stop this other than trackers and stuff

To be honest it's easy really just take out the OBD fuse then you won't get any communication?

on my transit I pulled the original obd from the location and fitted a fake one that I cut out of a scrap car that's not connected to anything

£35 delivered fro the US mate sadly will do the job, 12 seconds and its done

and agreed, aftermarket alarms are the only option IMO
