hello there i wonder if anyone could help me when my escort s2 gets warm it has a problem with starting like the starter is too hot when its been running when it cools down its starts first time is there a heat shield or somthing i can buy to stop the heat killing my starters ???? its embarrassing and my spelling is too hahaha thanks

I had this a lot I ended up buying a diesel starter and putting exhaust wrap around it

I tried someone who did the wrap stuff but it seems it's been of took off the shelves because it had asbestos in it and it is a diesel starter anyway :-(

i had this on mine & had to resort to getting jump started on occasion! never really sorted it, just opened the bonnet when warm to let hot air escape. It's a common prob.

Late S2s had a heat sheild on from factory, most have fallen off by now..
