Default mk2 cortina been in garage 26 years!!!!!!

a mate at works mate was asked to clear out a garage with his land rover and trailer when he got there and started to clear the garage he found a car covered up at the back. When he asked the lady about the car it turns out it was her late husbwhen car. when he phoned me to see if i wanted to buy it.

the car is a 1967 mk2 for cortina 1300 deluxe!!!!!
been there since 1986/87
only 2 owners
was running when parked up
been in a nice dry garage so looks in really good condition

the cars now at my mates yard waiting for me to pick it up as long as the car doesn't need much welding.he didn't get any pics of the car in the garage so the only two i have is of the car at my mates.

I think that was the cars original paint but its been painted brown!!! I think it's a mk4 shade of brown but not sure. If I look in the boot and on the inner wings it a silver/bronze/gold shade, the paint code on the vin says CSAE which I've checked a few cortina web sites but carnt seam to find the colour. A will post some more pics later.

It's still got its original 1300 per crossflow fitted so will try to get that running then may be fit a 1600 crossflow with twin carbs ect at a later date. The seats are black plastic looking vinyl but are like new so will be keeping them. When I get time to have it repainted iam going to put it back to the original colour, it's a metallic bronze/silver/purple.then some nice alloys may be lotus steels.

Back in 1987 the cars was a daily driver, then the owner got ill and the car was parked up and left there. So there still 26 year old petrol in the tank.
