I'd just quickly throw the points and condesor back in and try it takes 5 mins

never had points electronic ignition with module didn't work ,thats why i have got power spark dizzy ,soon know if its faulty when garage has it on friday fingers crossed they sort it ,been off road to long lol

do you have the v6 linkage on it ie opens both butterflys at the same time? or is it the normal one then the other?

thought so as I think that carb was standard fit on the v6 capri , have you had the carb jetted to suit the pinto?

yeah they sent it jetted for a 2 litre pinto ,need to get it sorted got a lot of thing's going on at mo though everything i try doesn't work ?

I had same problem lately on similar engine 2litre 205 pinto ported 285 cam, 38dgas, K&N 4 branch
Turned out to be the cheap ebay electronic distributor kit replaced it with a modified aldon distributor and bosch coil runs grand now

hmm i cant understand your not too happy with all those new parts , but it can only really be the coil , even though its new it can still not be working as it should be (my brother had a problem with a new genuine makers coil put an old one on and it ran fine ) so may be worth trying to get hold of one or a lend of one to try it rather than buying more parts , on my pinto i have a group a cosworth coil on it

also with the jetting i am guessing that they have sent it to you on a base jetting set up ie would need set up after fitting for your spec

yeah m8 needs setting up tried 2 other coils the same thing is it did exactly the same thing with old dizzy and coil modulator leads and bike carbs and regulator thats i reckon it could be a valve problem everything i have changed doesn't alter the way the car runs

could you maybe do a compression test to give you an idea ?

done compression test at garage was told it was ok but definitely do another one cheers m8 clint
