Question poly bushes, powerflex etc...... are they any good?

right the lower arm bushes on my vr6 need doing, called vw and the genuine lower arms are discontinued! im not using aftermarket as these ones have only lasted 3 years from GSF car parts!

what are the poly bushes like? do they last longer than genuine items in your opinions? i take it there a bastard to fit as there solid so not much movement?

regards

They're excellent. Better stability and no rotting issues. You are right about the fitting though as in some cases the old oil-filled ones may need to be heat-cut out

I've got polybushed front arms on my focus, they weren't too bad to fit but I did have a press.

They did creak a bit when new, I guess they needed a bit of time to wear in, but to be honest I noticed no difference at all between these and the standard rubber bushes!
