just bought this last month genuine 55k with lots of history to back it up ,rear of the car is pretty solid chassis legs,arches etc I did give it a good going over before l left a deposit guy wanted £2200 got it down to £1500 .I knew it needed a couple of patches on the front floor footwells however once I set about it with the grinder + wire brush it became a lot worse,lol I cant weld so im going to have to pay someone to do the work think the inner and outer sills are not too bad floor pans are pretty fkd both sides on the front halves think the rears will be ok with some rust treatment on the underside and some fresh paint.my biggest worry is although I can get replacement floor pans what do you do about the kid of large box section on the inside of the front wheel arches to the rear where it meets the front of the floor pans these are quite badly holed and look rotten inside don't want to patch them up with rust festering away inside planning on keeping this indefinetly if I can jjust want a nice old ford to cruise about in that I don't have to worry about blowing up like most of my s2's have,lol

just surface rust reckon some vactan rust killer and painted with zinc primer then white hammerite it'll be good for anther ten years
