Default GUAGEs (oil Pressure)

hey all

anyone know if senders for oil pressure guages are universal??
(im not talking about Stack or anything like that here)

I got a guage in this car i bought, but its never been wired up,
and has no sender with it.. just wondering if i could get a sender
from local place, or am i gonna have to try and find out what the guage is ive got!!

any help would be great,! thanks!

( i guess the senders cant be that differnt anyways can they/?)

Vdo gauge?
Each gauge requires a different sensor as they will be calibrated for a specific sender.

As i said before does it say VDO anywhere? because it will be easier to find a sender.
Due to having a standard resistance range.
I bought one sender off ebay to make up an oil pressure gauge, still havent got round to doing it yet though!

Have you taken the gauge out to see the back of it because if you havent you might find you have a capilery gauge in which case you'll need an oil line and t-piece
