i've got a 4x4 saff running 330bhp and managed to get a 5.0 sec 0-60 time running standard T3. might have been able to go low 4's if i gave it the absolute beans but was not used to the paddle clutch and didnt want to blow the box lol

Get real they struggle to stay in the 5's. Just check out the Daddy Thrash results or maybe i should post them.
I have rather a lot of Power, proper set up Chassis & wide 888 & a genius called Sheady driving managed a 4.1 you are so far out its funny.

Quickest Cossies back in 2002 at the TOTB trials. Remember this is on proper timing gear not the bullshit fairytale stuff at car shows & Trax.

Considering that was over a decade ago, they're pretty impressive times to be fair.

People need to remember it's a LOT more than power, especially on a 2wd.
The skinny tyres, mega rear camber, and shockingly useless standard LSD all make cars with easy 4sec potential run late 5s and 6s due to no grip.

it will be solely dependant on 2wd or 4wd.

I have run 4 seconds with over 800 2wd, and have run 3.3 seconds with 570 hp 4wd admitadly in jap crap but its all relevant imo.

just look at martin above 2.89 seconds ! and with far less power than rod.

for a 2wd 3 door I think realisticly it will be in the 5s unless its had a lot of rear end work.

I'd like to do some proper timing on my car apart from Martin i've done a faster 1/4 than the list above, although i'd be lucky to get more than 160mph top end due to the ratios in my box and diff.

These tests need to be done with one good driver to make useful comparison.

Im sure if youve got no experience of launching, you could have 1000BHP and still strugglle to get it below 10 seconds to 60

Plus some people dont care about the risk of things breaking.

I imagine wenny would be quite good as he clearly knows how to launch a car well and isnt too shy to worry about busting something.

bloody hell fair play to the reyland escort laying down those times!!!very very impressive, bit off topic but:

@ Rod, what was your cars power/setup? just looking a your quarter mile time/teminal and its a bit lower than I expected? would of thought it would of been in the 130's and elevens given im guessing it would of been over 500bhp etc.

Still pretty impressive for a saph none the less

Was thinking the same thing raj tbh

Love the fact how rod commented using his car as comparison to the times when the OP states 350hp times in my eyes high fours are a respectable time !!

I used to run 4.8-60mph in my old saff years ago which was an msd stage 3 car

Unfortunately not It was a few years ago at RAF Woodbridge on a Nissan top speed day (I gatecrashed...)

With Launching it took a year to get it perfect, wasn't easy.

That day everything was perfect, conditions, temp, launch, the whole car. Was really chuffed with myself with the result

Still got the Datron printout somewhere

Just found my times from the 4i Fast Ford Thrash.

This was on a T34.48 and 803s with a 500 size intercooler and 17" wheels with 205/40 tyres

0-40 3.555
0-50 4.220
0-60 5.041
0-70 6.709
0-80 7.843
0-90 9.182
0-100 11.147

Top speed was 162.3mph

The black safe was steve bennets expect, rapid 1, on here. Had around 420hp with a quaife box I think would run mid 11's at the pod, and he run 2.9 to 0-60 at ford fair, very impressive.
