Your insurance company won't allow you to fit a real cage, but they said a show cage is fine?

They would let me if I was to pay the huge increase in price.
They said because a show cage is purely for show and a remove able item it is ok
With a propper cage modifying the structure of the car itself and being a fixed item this will put a great increase on my policey

IF anything fitting a safety device should lower the fucking premium not put it up!

Ridiculous!

That one looks like a propper cage that has been chromed. With it having the front part aswell.
Looks cool though. The hole car does to be fair

Good effort to the lad that's got into the back of it haha

CheeRS for posting the pic

That's what I can't understand. Surely a show cage would be more of death threat than a propper fitted cage

Youre getting it all wrong.

The insurers assume that fitting a roll cage means you feel you need one because of your driving standards ie if you fit a cage to a road car they think you will crash!!

They take the "you dont put on a condom unless youre going to fuck" attitude.

A show cage is just an interior styling mod.

a full cage whether show or real is dangerous in a road car isnt it? more places to hit your head on a real one and a show cage will brake at the joins and stick through your neck.

just dont bother unless its a track car.

Which is why you should use proper FIA spec padding in areas your head can come into contact with.

Real cage or no cage.
A show cage is more dangerous in a smash than not having one.
