Is this getting a tad out of hand now?

There used to be loads of posts, from old and new users mind, about "how much is this worth?" and "is this rare/worth selling"

Seems that since the introduction of Gold Members and Traders more and more is getting censored, and more and more of a "them and us" approach is being taken

Fair enough Mark, I never saw the thread in question so I ain't gonna judge on that, but it does seem to be getting more and more common - the "them and us" attitude tho, just take the recent episode with AndyEscos being "reported" by that trader - 99% of the replies were in Andy's favour, yet the only ones that opposed him came from traders

Not wanting to drag it all up again just wanted to say "I told you so" cos I said this would happen

Thrush whats out of hand is the amount of people blatantly breaking the advertisment rules, trying to be sneaky and then complaining when they are caught.

When faced with several posts all having to be moved because of the above attitude it does get a tad tedious, especialy when in the majority of cases Gold Member status would save there being a problem in the 1st place.

Not aimed at anyone in particular! Just the other side of the coin.

B8 - thats basically my point. Before the Gold Member and Trader tags came in, these posts were more prevelent than they are even now, yet nothing was said - there wasn't a problem. Now there IS a problem... Further concreting the "them and us" attitude....

Spadge - I ain't going back through tho whole thread, nor naming names, but one in particular that opposed his every word was a certain trader on here. I know you didn't tho

It's just, to me at least, every time someone mentions they have something for sale (even if they ARE a gold member like Andy) or are thinking about selling something or just curious as to the worth of something they have, someone, either another gold member or a trader, takes on the "well, I have paid to sell, why should that person make this post/reference/whatever - I'm going to complain" or in the case of Andy's problem "Hmph, I don't want anyone else selling the same stuff cheaper than me - I'm going to complain" - I mean COME ON! It's a fooking internet site! More importantly, it's an internet site for Ford enthusiasts - not many would be that enthusiastic about their cars if it werne't possible to get parts for em!

Now in the case of non goldmembers/traders trying to actually sell something then I agree, but it still stands, before all this camein there wasn't a problem - seems trying to create a solution has just created it's own problems?

As far as i can remember there was no intent to try and sell anything in that post just a genuine intrest in the value of the items. all i wanted to know was there worth so i could offset the price i could get for sed items against the price of my new engine. if that makes sence.
